California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP)

The CCSPP supports schools in partnering with community agencies and local government to align resources and improve student outcomes. Community schools focus on four evidence-informed features: integrated support services, extended learning time, collaborative leadership, and family & community engagement. The program was established in 2021 and extended to 2031.

Planning Grant
Up to $200,000
2-year grant for LEAs with no existing community schools. Cohorts 1–2 (2021–22, 2022–23)
Implementation Grant
Up to $500,000/year
Annual grant for new, expanding, or continuing community schools. Cohorts 1–4 (2021–2030)
Extension Grant
Up to $100,000/year
2-year extension for Implementation grantees. Starting 2026–27 fiscal year.
